Worked over 30 years as a State of Hawaii Department of Education teacher. Responsibilities included helping students and their families not only with their education but with various support services.
These services involved not only educational support but medical and financial support services both within the Department of Education but in the community as well. One day my cousin and I were brainstorming about what I could be doing for my second career. At her suggestion, I began to explore the world of Medicare. I already had been helping a few friends and family with their Medicare and somewhat familiar. Medicare health insurance then became my passion because now I can see how critical it is to navigate Medicare in order to help and anyone who qualifies for Medicare get the health care they need to preserve their quality of life.
